On the weekends I work the door at my friend’s music venue. I’m currently sitting here, eating cookies, booking shows, and listening to the bands play in the other room.

I’ve always hated my voice (talking and otherwise) because I sound like a 5 year old and my voice was once compared to Amanda Bynes. I recorded this several months ago when I became obsessed with this song. It’s 9 seconds long. 9 seconds of a song that I messed up on so I stopped recording. No one has ever heard me sing. Besides for my choir teacher in 6th grade, twice.
My point of this is, I stumbled across this video tonight and for whatever reason I was feeling really spontaneous. Maybe it’s because I’ve been feeling so good about myself these days. I’m so sick of being held down by my fears. I’m so sick of holding back. Who cares if you don’t have the best voice? Who cares if you’re not perfect? Don’t let fear control you. Just let go and LIVE.

Do something daring today. Do something that will scare the hell out of you. Let go of one single fear. Because once you overcome it, it can’t control you anymore.
